In our last post VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.6 – What’s New Part 1 we talked about the dashboard getting started feature that has been made available with VROPS 6.6 release, in this article will be focusing on some more features available to us.
Native vSAN Management Capabilities
This feature allows for centralized management across VSAN stretched clusters, where we can make use of dashboards to evaluate, manage and optimize the performance of vSAN objects. We can go ahead and deploy vSAN to get complete visibility down to disk level no need of adding any addition management pack in VROPS.
Fully Automated Workload Balancing
Another feature available is Automated Workload Balancing which ensures proper Initial Placement and Predictive DRS acts before contention occurs. VROPS 6.6 works with Distributed Resource Scheduler to give us the ability to balance workloads across clusters.
vRealize Log Insight Integration with VROPS6.6
VMware vRealize Log Insight is tightly integrated with VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.6, wherein we can launch log insight dashboard and log insight interactive analysis directly from VROPS which helps in faster troubleshooting.
Compliance Capabilities
VROPS 6.6 provides abilities to tackle compliance problems with the help of new vSphere Hardening dashboard and provides Extended Compliance – PCI & HIPPA compliance.
