Stopping a cyberattack is important. Knowing you can recover from one is just as critical.
This was a recurring theme in our conversations with cybersecurity and IT leaders at the CISO Conclave & Awards 2026, organised by UBS Forums.
Vembu participated in two editions of the event : Ahmedabad on 23 September and Hyderabad on 8 October 2026. Across both cities, we connected with approximately 100 attendees at each event, including CISOs, CSOs, CIOs, CTOs, IT administrators and cybersecurity professionals.
The events also brought two proud milestones for Vembu: the Data Protection Excellence Award in Ahmedabad and the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Award in Hyderabad.
Beyond the recognition, the conversations highlighted a common concern: organisations need more than preventive security. They need reliable data protection, effective threat response and recovery plans they can trust.

Ahmedabad: Strengthening Confidence in Data Protection
At the Ahmedabad edition, Mr. Sakthiprian, Global Channel Sales & Partner Strategy Leader at Vembu, engaged with IT and security leaders from manufacturing, BFSI, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
The discussions highlighted three key concerns: ensuring backups are recoverable, protecting critical data from ransomware and addressing evolving data protection requirements, including India’s DPDP framework.
These conversations reinforced a clear message: organisations need to move beyond simply having backups to ensuring their data remains protected and recoverable when it matters most.
Vembu’s efforts in this space were recognised with the Data Protection Excellence Award, marking a proud moment for the team.

Hyderabad: Putting Business Continuity First
At the Hyderabad edition, Mr. Pranav P K, Product Manager, and Mr. Shafi Mohammad, Lead Engineer – Development, represented Vembu and connected with cybersecurity professionals from government, pharmaceutical and IT/ITeS sectors.
The conversations focused on minimising operational downtime, responding effectively to cyber threats and ensuring critical services can be restored quickly after an incident.
A recurring takeaway was that preventing attacks is only part of the challenge. Organisations must also be prepared to contain threats, validate their recovery readiness and maintain business continuity.
The event concluded on a high note as Vembu received the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Award, recognising its commitment to helping organisations strengthen operational resilience.

BDRShield and XDRShield: Two Layers of Cyber Resilience
The conversations across both cities reinforced an important principle: effective cyber resilience requires data protection, threat detection and recovery to work together.
BDRShield by Vembu focuses on backup, data protection and business continuity. Its key capabilities include:
Automated backup verification and recovery testing to help validate recovery readiness.
Instant recovery for supported servers, virtual machines and applications to help reduce downtime.
Immutable backup storage with retention lock to help protect recovery points against unauthorised modification or deletion.
Air-gapped and offsite backup copies to provide additional protection and recovery options.
Backup encryption and centralised management to support secure, coordinated data protection.
XDRShield by Vembu focuses on threat detection, investigation and response. Its key capabilities include:
Continuous endpoint monitoring to identify suspicious activity.
Security alert correlation to help identify related threats and potential attack patterns.
Case-based investigations with supporting evidence to organise security analysis.
Threat containment actions, including host isolation, process termination and file quarantine.
Response playbooks, approval workflows and activity logging to support structured, traceable security operations.
Together, the solutions address complementary stages of a security incident: XDRShield helps teams detect, investigate and contain threats, while BDRShield helps protect critical data and prepare for recovery when disruption occurs.
Two Cities. Two Awards. One Commitment.
Our participation in the CISO Conclave & Awards 2026 gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry leaders, understand their challenges and discuss practical approaches to strengthening cyber resilience.
The Data Protection Excellence Award in Ahmedabad and the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Award in Hyderabad mark important milestones for Vembu. More importantly, the conversations reminded us why this work matters: organisations need dependable data protection, effective security operations and recovery plans that are ready when needed.
We thank everyone who visited our booth and shared their experiences. We look forward to continuing these conversations and helping more organisations strengthen their cybersecurity and business continuity strategies.
