Flexible Retention Options

  • Specify retention by number of days or number of versions
  • Automatically delete older recovery points to save storage space
  • Meet legal and compliance requirements with precision
  • Choose between Basic Retention and GFS Retention policies

How Does Basic Retention Work in BDRShield?

BDRShield lets you define retention policies to control how long incremental recovery points are kept. Older points are automatically deleted, optimizing storage and costs.

Version Based Retention

Keep a specified number of backup versions ranging from 1 to 999. Perfect for environments where you need to maintain multiple restore points without time-based constraints.

Day Based Retention

Retain backup data for a set number of days, keeping all incremental points within the retention period for reliable recovery options.
Note: If retention for incremental backup is disabled, all restore points and data will be retained indefinitely.

“I don’t think any platform can beat BDRSuite’s pricing. The cost is much lower than paying thousands per month for Datto, Kaseya, or Veeam”

Tony AshvanianBoom Logic

“I tried Veeam and Microsoft’s built-in BU. It was OK, but price, performance, and features caused BDRSuite to win out!”

Kenneth LombardoMicro Systems and Support

“It’s very cheap and it’s absolutely competitive. It’s very cheap compared to what I can charge my customers for the service.”
