Last week we touched upon Vembu SalesDesk and why it is important for a business to have the right solution to manage its customers and sales information. This week’s installment goes in-depth into SalesDesk and gives an overview of key features and functions.

Vembu SalesDesk is categorized into four major areas. They are:

  • Leads.
  • Opportunities.
  • Events.
  • Dashboard.

All four areas are interconnected and can support one another by providing required information to make customer data collection and management highly efficient.

Leads:

  • Contains basic customer information such as his/her name, email-id and contact numbers.  Additional details such as address, zip code, social links, etc. can be added.
  • Customers can be classified as a new lead, hot lead, cold lead or warm lead based on priority.

Opportunities:

This section lists prospects based on the opportunity level and cost.

  • When a customer is contacted for the very first time, he/she is a new lead.
  • When contacted and shows interest, he/she will be categorized as a prospect/evaluating/contracting.
  • If the contacted customer purchases a product/service, then his/her opportunity is assigned as closed-won.
  • If a customer is found to have no interest, then he/she is categorized as closed-lost or invalid based.

This section also lists opportunity amount and value of a customer and provides access to the opportunity history of the customer.

Events:

This section is used to manage and monitor events assigned to an employee.

  • A employee can be assigned to follow-up on a customer for a sales opportunity. Follow-ups are easily managed using the tasks section.
  • You can schedule the time/date and type of event for the follow-up using the calendar.
  • Employee events are listed separately under due today, upcoming, missed and completed tasks.
  • Access the entire conversation history with customer and make follow-ups effective.

Dashboard:

  • This section provides a detailed report on various sales aspects for a time period, such as today, last 7 days, months and specified time interval.
  • It also forecasts sales aspects based on collected details.
  • This feature also provides information pertaining to the sales pipeline, lead distribution, opportunity size and conversion period.
