Ever since the recent launch of BDR v3.0, team Vembu has been spending considerable time connecting with customers through webinars, road shows and at this week’s Microsoft Ignite in Chicago. Speaking of which, today marks the last day of Ignite, a massive event which assembled the most remarkable minds in IT from around the world, under one roof.

As a proud sponsor and exhibitor at Ignite, Vembu got innumerable opportunities to demo Vembu BDR v3.0 to attendees. Based on the feedback, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that people were simply blown away by just how much this low cost product offered. The sophisticated interface and simplicity of use didn’t go unnoticed either as you can tell from this remark we received: “A beautiful looking backup software with such promising features set at this price range is like a dream come true.”

Day 2 was a barrel of laughs, literally. We had the illusionist and comic, Keith Fields entertain the crowd with his skit ‘Is your Data Protection an Illusion?’ Fields mixed up a deck of cards with a good dose of magic and humor to show just how Vembu differs from its competitors when it comes to protecting customer data. At the end of the show, winners of SuperMicro servers – Travis and Sylvia were announced.

Vembu made three important announcements at Microsoft Ignite:

  • Support for Office 365 backups.
  • Support for vSphere 6 (Vembu is one of the first companies to provide full support for vSphere 6 backups in a production environment).
  • Release of Vembu BDR v3.0 for production environments.

That is it from us folks. Have a great weekend!
