The Vembu Explorer for SharePoint is a utility tool of Vembu that is used to explore and recover contents that belong to SharePoint sites.
This tool draws content directly from SharePoint database files, ie .mdf & .ldf.
This blog provides instructions on how to use the utility for exporting the required contents from a SharePoint DB.
Start the Vembu Explorer for SharePoint application:
- Once you are done going over the introduction, click next.
- Enter the location of required data file (.mdf) of Share Point sites from which you want to recover.
- Choose .mdf file.
- Respective log file (.ldf) will be automatically selected once data file is selected. Click next.
- Contents of the SharePoint site from selected data file is explored and displayed.
- Drag and drop contents you need to recover from source to destination folder and hit finish.
The required files will get exported to the desired folder location.
